Susanna Allevato Quail

Susanna practices primarily in labour law, defamation, and class action litigation. She represents unions, workers, non-profit organizations, and activists in a variety of legal forums and proceedings. She supports clients to use legal strategies to advance the wider objectives of progressive organizations and movements.

Susanna has a particular interest in legal issues affecting migrant workers. She serves on the Board of Directors at the Migrant Workers Centre and has litigated extensively at the intersection of employment and immigration rights.

Susanna was awarded the Canadian Bar Association BC Branch’s Equality & Diversity Award in 2021 for her work on migrant workers’ rights and on LGBTQ equality.

Susanna lives in East Vancouver with her wife and two kids. She stays sane by lifting extremely heavy weights and spending time outdoors.
